Checking in and changing things up a bit

I'm having some fun with some new templates, and some customizations. In doing so, I've also lost some of my side bar links, but I'm working on them. I was also trying to figure out what kind of pictures I could put up, as it is vastly easier to do so since Blogger has upgraded all of its available bells and whistles. DH suggested I put up some pictures of kidneys, but I reminded him that I would like people to actually READ my blog, not turn from the computer in disgust.

Anyway, despite all appearances, I am still alive and well, even if I'm not as well rested as I would like to be. It's easy to forget how little sleep one gets with a newborn in the house. I see my nephrologist in a month to determine exactly what kind of toll the pregnancy put on everything, and I am optimistically hoping for good news.

As always, I'll keep you posted.

Also, if you didn't catch it, I have an article in the summer edition of PKD Progress. From now on, I will have a regular column in that magazine, something I am very excited about. As always, you can go to The Foundation's website for more info.

I was sorry to miss the PKD Foundation's Conference in Orlando this year (sorry, couldn't see taking a 2 week old infant). I'm sure it was excellent. Highlights, anyone?

I like the new look!

I know what you mean about sleep and newborn babies. Argh! This weekend we're going to be with extended family and I'm planning to hand off the baby and take many naps!

Thanks Rob for pointing me to Heathers Page! Heather, I have to say, I only read so far your last four or five entries (I'm supposed to be working, sshhhh), but I actually had to swallow a tear at the entry announcing your babies birth. I have some catching up to do, and I look forward to catching up on all the background that led up to birth of your little one. I have so many questions! I hope you will take a look at my blog. Take care!
